The things they have that are Similar they both have snowy winters.  They both have grass in some parts.  The both have geese.  They both touch one of the great lakes.  They both have large amounts of fresh water.  They both have Forests. They share the same border.  They both have open plains.  They both have rivers.  They do not share the Appalachian Mts.
