The Battle of Midway was a happy turning point for the United States, as the Americans successfully destroyed many Japanese aircrafts and personnel. Not only did this battle cut down the air forces of the Japanese largely, it also opened the major military pathway to the mainland of Japan, also opening great strategic opportunities for the American forces.
