While crossing the Silk Road, the desert became difficult terrains to pass for the merchants and travelers.  The Silk Road was a network that connected Europe to Asia. It became a medium for merchants to trade from one place to another. The passing desert considered to be hard because of the heat, sandstorms, lack of water (thirst) and bandit that threaten caravans. Merchants, travelers made their journey through riding camels and by foot with carrying goods to trade.
