So, instead of their being a relatively tiny number of black African descended people in this hemisphere - probably would be even less than the number of Arabs in this hemisphere otherwise - there are millions. Had their ancestors not been enslaved and brought here, they would be living in west Africa - a terrible place by any measure. Or, they would not exist as people because, having been brought here, they were able to expand their numbers IMMENSELY across these 2 continents, something west Africa would simply not have afforded them the luxury of doing. Not enough space or resources there. No one wants to hear it, but because of the awful things that happened to their ancestors, they are infinitely better off.
