Activity In this activity, you’ll research three state bills and report on these bills in detail.

Part A
Go to your state legislature’s website. Find three bills that are of interest to you, and complete the chart below. Depending on your state’s website, you may need to type in key search words, such as education, food, or healthcare. Once a list of bills appears, you may need to click on a link to learn more. To discover where the bill is in the lawmaking process, you may need to click on terms such as action, committee, or votes to gather information. If it says “referred to” followed by a name such as health or education, it is likely that the bill was referred to that committee. Some websites can be harder to search than others, but be patient and explore the website. You will find all the information you need!
