2. Why did African-Americans want to end segregation in public schools?

They wanted to end segregation in schools because, African-Americans and Caucasians were always separated were always treated differently and taught differently. They wanted schools to be equal so kids wouldn't have to go through rough times not being happy while at school. A lot of African-Americans thought school and ANY WHERE else should be delightful and not be hate everywhere they go.

roosevelt believed that in light of the country's recent military successes, it was unnecessary to use force to achieve foreign policy goals, so long as the military could threaten force. this belief, and his strategy of “speaking softly and carrying a big stick,” shaped much of roosevelt's foreign policy.
