America has a history of upholding rights for certain people (White Heterosexual Males) while suspending or denying civil rights to others (Black, Indigenous, People of Color, LGBTQ+, etc.). Some people have more privilege than others so it is important to recognize injustices and do your part to fight against such situations. Fighting for justice, when you are in a position of privilege or power is called being an Ally. reflect on how you can be a better ally for marginalized groups.
