In certain cases I would deem it ok to work in construction (if your parents work in construction) but never at a chemical plant especially at such a young age. Chemical plants can expose you to harmful chemicals that their underdeveloped brains are not ready to handle yet. If there is any chemical leak it could be much more dangerous for a child than a grown adult.
