Throughout your academic career, you have looked at ideas and forms of government around the world and here at home. You are going to briefly review our government and the document that explains it- the Constitution. Questions you will consider include:
Why the founding fathers wrote the Constitution.
How they set up our government in the Constitution.
What the Constitution and our government looks like today.
Before you begin, open the file titled All about the US Constitution Graphic Organizer.
First, you will review the video Colonial Williamsburg: Balance of Power. Use the information to begin filling in your graphic organizer.
You can find the video at the following link: https://www. activeclassroom. com/active_reader/13800
Second, open the document Reading 1 Principles and Ideals of Democracy. Use this reading to continue to fill in your graphic organizer.
Remember you will not be able to complete the entire graphic organizer with the reading you selected. Each reading provides specific information about parts of the Constitution.
