What is the primary difference an absolute monarchy and a constitutional monarchy

In an absolute monarchy, the monarch holds the supreme or absolute powers, whereas in the constitutional monarchy, the head of state is a hereditary or elected monarch.

The monarch in the absolute monarchy holds all the supreme power, whereas, the head of the state or the elected monarch hold the power in the constitutional monarchy
