What were a couple reasons the Articles of Confederation were not working for the USA?

The Articles of Confederation were not working largely because they did not grant enough power to the federal government. First of all, they were too weak to enforce laws, regulate trade routes, and especially levy taxes, which was very important coming out of the Revolutionary War with so much debt. All 13 states voted to redraft and edit the Articles, but instead of changing it, they started over with the Constitution.
