Women’s rights movement VS slave abolitionist movement? how are the similar and how are they different

Difference :

- How the cause was achieved.

The women rigts' movement final goal was to granted the women with the right to vote. This was achieved through legal efforts/ activism alone. Abolishment of slavery on the other hand required United States to be in war with one another since the southern states wouldn't agree to abolish the slave otherwise.

- The duration of the movement

The Abolitionist movement last around 40 years (between 1830 - 1870). Women rights movement lasted around 100 years (between 1817 - 1920). Even after 1920, women rights movement still continue pursuing other goals from the right to vote. (such as fair treatment in the work place)

- The Severity of the cause

Women were oppressed , but the severity of the situation for the slaves were much harsher compared to the women.

Similarities:

- Both movements promoted the expansion of the American constitution which  promise the people with the right to liberty and equality

Women rights movement ended up with women right's to vote (expansion of equality) , and abolitionists movement ended up with abolishment of slavery (expansion in freedom)

- Both face push-back from the government on national level

Both movements were constantly faced with hindrance that coming from the supreme court and media that funded by the opposition

- Both ended up in amendments within the constitution.

The women's rights movement contributed to the creation of the 19th amendment and Abolitionists movement contributed to the creation of the 13th amendment.

in contrast, the biological controls are self-sustaining, inexpensive and very effective once established. biological control could be used on thousands of golf course acres, improving their biodiversity and quality as wildlife habitat. in the process, the golf industry will be shown to be leaders in an environmental stewardship program of benefit not only to the lands they manage but also to the watersheds in which they exist.
