This is my Mom's favorite quote. She's a professor at a University. She is always saying this. What it means is if you have to sit and listen to a teacher lecture, you'll forget what is said in a matter of minutes. If you teach the student and have tests, they'll only remember what the tests require them to remember and only as long as it's important to pass the class. But if you involve the students in the process. Show them how and why something is done and then let them do it. Let them make mistakes and learn why, then they'll remember it for the rest of their lives. Kinda like when we cut up that frog. LOL
