Historically, the United States has struggled with majority rule and the extension of minority rights. As a result of this struggle, the government has increasingly extended civil rights to marginalized groups and broadened opportunities for participation. List an act, supreme court decision or civil right that has been extended through our government. It can be recent, or something learned in Government or American History class. Determine if you believe this act, decision or civil right has been successful in the attempt to bring about equality and rights.
