Explain social structure of feudal Europe

A Feudal society has three distinct social classes: a king, a noble class (which could include notes, priests and princes) and a peasant class. The peasants paid the nobles in produce and military service; the nobles, in turn, paid the king.

the tariff was created to protect industry in the northern part of the united states. industries in the north were being driven out of business by imported goods that were priced at a low rate. the goal was to protect these industries   by taxing the goods.
