PLS HELP!! 10. Why would the Canadian government be against creating harsh environmental regulations (laws) on mining and timber businesses located in the Canadian Shield?

1:Because these jobs have little impact on the environment of Canada

2:Because not many live in the region so not many people are affected by the businesses

3:Because of the large number of jobs provided by these businesses for people.

4:Because the pollution created by these industries affects the U. S. more than Canada
