It would because power would be distributed more fairly and money wouldn't be wasted on projects that produced inflation and problems in the Empire.

Explanation:

Although during reign of Louis XIV many important things were done, including the building of Versailles too much money was spent. Louis didn't realized that this policy was leading to collapse of countries economy. Additionally, third Estate was mostly affected by this situation as they were paying the taxes. That is why if the system of governing was different then France would have had such vast problems, as certain institutions would participate more in the decision making process.
