How does American culture compare to a salad bowl? There are many differences between groups of people in America, but they mix together well, like a salad.

There are many different colors in a salad, and there are many different races represented in American culture.

There are usually some parts of a salad that people like, and some they don't, just like most Americans feel about other cultures.

There are many vegetables in a salad that makes it a healthy choice, and diversity in American culture is also "healthy" for the United States.
