President H. W.Bush was a Republican candidate, a sitting President who lost an election to a Democrat, Bill Clinton. This was the same situation as President Trump losing an election to President-elect Biden. President Bush left a note for Bill Clinton to read when he assumed the presidency in 1993. It was heart felt, gracious, patriotic and warm. This has since become a tradition among outgoing presidents.

It does not appear to be President Trump's personal style to write a welcoming note so you are to do it for him. The following link will allow you to read President Bush's letter to President Clinton. You are to write a note to President Biden, from President Trump telling him what you think President Biden should know about being the President of the United States. It should be of similar length to President Bush's note and say something meaningful.
