The black death also refers to the plague that happened in the mid-1300's, it hit both Europe and Asia. This happened around October, the black death was most often transferred through rats and other small rodents. It was first introduced into Europe by 12 ships that had docked and almost no one was alive on them. It ended up killing around 20 million people in just four years, making out to be around 1/3 of the total population of Europe. This made Europe very cautious and no one would help the sick, poor and rich died alike, taxes went really high because they would have to get rid of anything on the ships if anyone was sick on them.
