Barnstorming shows were very popular during the Roaring Twenties in the USA. They were essentially made out of a pilot or many pilots that sometimes formed what we now remember as flying circuses. They would perform stunts and tricks in the air and draw a big crowd to watch them do daring acts in their planes. They would be held in a field by a barn, hence the name barnstorming, and the pilots would negotiate if they could use the barn for the show and at what price.
