Why is Sundiata known as the Lion King?

His story also inspired the Walt Disney film "The Lion King." Sundiata was known as a big eater and constantly held feasts at his palace. His nickname is the "Lion King of Mali." He was the first king of the Mande people to use the title "Mansa", which meant "king of kings."
