What we have to know about the
2020 Black Lives Matter protests?

Mr. George Floyd attempted to scam a Gas Station of 100 bucks in fake currency. When told to leave he refused. The police were called and four police officers arrived at the scene, 2 white, 1 hispanic, and one of another nationality. George Floyd was outside and I believe he was attempting to retreat, not wanting to stir trouble among the police. The white police officer, grabbed George Floyd while he was retreating and put him in a choke hold, with his leg on his neck. George Floyd multiple times complained of lack of breath but the police officer did nothing to help George Floyd ease his dis-comfort. The three police bystanders did nothing as well. This caused George Floyd to die. George Floyd's death caused many people in the U.S to become enraged that a black man was killed. The police officers were arrested and charged with jail time. People everywhere throughout the U.S started protesting, and protesting violently. White people were killed, houses of white were burned, protesters smashed businesses, killed people and protested rapidly. This caused the police to get involved and start solving the situations with violence. Therefore, the police brutality started to rise and police ended up using tear gas, smoke screen, rubber bullets, and other methods to get civilians to stop protesting.
