LT 1.1- How did mercantilism and trans-Atlantic trade lead to
the development of colonies?

trans-atlantic trade promoted colonies since colonial powers could now use foreign nations as a trading post and get cheaper, government-subsidized products by colonizing places with different exports. Mercantilism promotes imperialism, tariffs and subsidies on traded goods to achieve peak economical strength, so it's no surprise imperialist powers used tariffs on colonists and subsidies on colonial goods in their home countries! Also, mercantilism promotes exports and minimizes imports (sound familiar? colonies were sort of puppet organizations of a larger empire, where the colonies would just export goods the empire wanted to trade with or buy cheaper).

globalization can mean many things

the three main concepts are 1 bushiness

buiness is something thatch part of globalization a lot

which manly gives its name   but there are other actors

another 1 is communication

communication is another bold factor in globalization and wouldn't even exsist without communication

last and third is   goverment and poltics

poltics is a big but small factor it takes part of deciding peoples minds during polticis   and choosing people for the job but sometimes doesn't

the united states broke it's neutrality was the constant german sinking of trading vessels resulting in the loss of lives, one example would be the lusitania.
