Why is it easier to reconstruct the history of the modern period than earlier times

It easier to reconstruct the history of the modern period than earlier times  because of the following reasons:

- we have the old newspapers,books and magazines that describe the modern period while the earlier times provide no written evidence

- several monuments and their remains depict the lifestyle in the modern period while the ancient times are difficult to understand

- coins, jewellery and statues prove the facts about modern period where as ancient times are difficult to apprehend
