A geologist found a 1.5-meter-long rock in Epic Canyon. The rock is the decade’s most exciting geological find. Scientific studies show that natives of the area used similar shiny black rocks to make primitive tools. The geologist at the scene believes the stone is a meteorite, but she will have to conduct further tests to prove this hypothesis. Meteorites are debris that reach Earth’s surface when meteors break up in the atmosphere. The stone is one-of-a-kind, and scientists probably won’t find another quite like it.
