This event marks the moment when the elected senators finish their terms and the Representatives are assigned to their seats at the national congress.

During the execution of the 113th congress, it is possible to see how society evolves in terms of which citizens could join the national congress. While at the time of the founding fathers only white men could occupy these places, it is now possible to see women and black people occupying these positions together with white men. This is because our society allows and recognizes the inclusion of citizens in national politics regardless of their gender and color. This would probably leave the founding parents surprised and curious about the direction that national politics has taken.
