Main goal was to reform the government from corrupt politicians and institutions The family roles, women in the Progressive era would take more active roles rather than traditional roles. The FDA and Labor laws were a big thing during this time, regualting labor laws such as hours and pay via union or food quality (this is more of the USA side of this movement) Increase in social/economic equality and overall way of life for the population by means of democracy.
