i'm not sure because all these answer choices are bad, but b makes the most sense because the island syracuse is located on in in the mediterranean. for answer choices c and d, inland means inside a country, and that's not true. so the best choice out of the 4 is b, although it's still a poor answer choice.

It would be B I put it in and got it right.
