What are similarities between the Roman republic government and the untied states government

ancient Rome, after the last Etruscan king was overthrown, the ancient Roman people vowed never to be ruled by a king again. They set up a system of government by the people and for the people. There are many similarities between the government of ancient Rome under the Republic, and the government of the United States after the American Revolution. But there are also differences.
