Which was an area of weakness in the federal government under the Articles of Confederation?

The states had too much power and the central government was weak, they only had a legislative branch. They didn’t have a president. Congress could not regulate trade. There was also no power of taxation. These are all weaknesses but the most major one was the central government being weak and the states stronger.
