Describe American life during the Great Depression

Four years after 1929 stock market crash, during the bleakest point of the Great Depression, about a quarter of the U.S. workforce was unemployed. Those that were lucky enough to have steady employment often saw their wages cut or their hours reduced to part-time.

That was life back then, NOW it seems like we're living in the great depression too. Not to scare anybody!

beowulf is taken into account an epos. in this poem, the main character may be a hero who travels nice distances to prove his strength at not possible odds against supernatural demons and beasts. in the poem, beowulf was a young warrior and he leaves his country to hrothgar, as hrothgar was in a great trouble.
