5. After WWII, the United Nations needed to find place for the millions of Jews to live. Based off history, they decided the British colony of Palestine would be an appropriate place. The British gave up their colony and the U. N issued an order to make two countries out of the British colony: Palestine and Israel.
As you know from discussion, this action was devastating to the Middle East and has resulted in constant war between Israel and Palestine and the countries allies.
