What did Bull Run show both armies, especially the Union?

Neither army was outfitted properly, which led to problems with supply and organization.
The Southern army had an advantage in the area of their officer corps.
The South was clearly stronger than the North.
More time needed to be spent in training, disciplining, and organizing the troops.
