By the turn of the twentieth century, the populations of Oklahoma Territory and Indian Territory were growing
rapidly. Some people believed the two territories should join together to enter the United States as one state. Others
thought the two should remain separate and join the country as different states. What would it be like today if the
two territories were allowed to join as different states? List at least two important ways you think the country would
