Representative

One has to be inhabited in the state that he is chosen to be a representative

In order to be a senator

During the period of election, the senator has to be resident in the state that he is representing

House of Representatives

Must be at least 25 years old.

Must have been a citizen for 7 years.

The US constitution spelt out that no person shall be a representative who shall not have attained to the age of twenty five years and been seven years a citizen of the United state and who shall not , when elected, be an inhabitant of that state in which he shall be chosen.

Senators

Must be at least 30 years of age

Must have been a citizen for 9 years or longer.

The United state constitution sets three qualifications for service in the US senate. Which are Age, US citizenship, and residency in the state a senator represent at time of election.
