since most of current immigration into the u.s., both legal and illegal, is coming from latin america. it would be very difficult to imagine or rationalize a country my fellow citizens are trying desperately to flee into, would pose a threat to my prosperity or freedom. since the u.s. has a long history of intervention, but no record of permanent occupation, i would not feel oppression is the main objective.  

the largest free trade nation, along with the largest gdp in the world wanting to expand it's economic policy on us, and including us, could only be positive. the u.s. government has no interest in, or way of simply forcing american culture on us. and has no track record of it. other nations that adopted american social culture, or "americanization" did so voluntarily, mainly through the choice of allowing american businesses and u.s. citizens to come into their nations, as free operatives.

native american contribution: the patriots from britain learn how to hunt, fish, and introduce diversity within cultures.

african americans: indirectly introduced the idea of diversity to americans. africans coming to america because of slavery taught white americans that people come from different backgrounds and colors. it also built america's economic stability for a great period of time. 

women: make america what it is today. there are some societies that are in the world currently that do not give women the same right we give women here in the united states. because women have rights here in the united states, other countries' citizens strive to come to america, especially women, since they have equal rights in the united states. this is important because america is seen and desired by many in the world. 

children: children are our future. we learn from our elders and carry out things the same or differently learning from america's history. we continue tradition and change tradition if it is needed. 

on 6 november american voters will elect members of the house of representatives and the senate, which together are called congress.

both houses of congress are currently controlled by the republican party, which backs president donald trump.

the democrats think they can win control of the house of representatives this year by winning a majority of seats.

doing so would let them block or delay the president’s plans by refusing to enact them.

all 435 seats in the house of representatives are up for election.

if the democrats want to take control of the house by having the most seats, they’re going to have to claim at least 23 from the republicans.
