Evaluate the extent to which english colonial societies in the new england and chesapeake regions prior to 1700 were similar to one another

The colonies of New England and Chesapeake faced immense level of mortality at the start of their settlement period. Both the colonies have one thing in common that was their conflict with native Americans. They both would fight with the group of native Americans and encroach the American land. Conflict was with occupying the land. Other similarity between them was their agrarian based economy that was mainly dependent on agriculture. So, these were some of the similarities between the colonies of New England and Chesapeake.
