How were the crusades different from some of the
wars we’re more familiar with today, such as the
vietnam war, the iraq war, or the “war on
terrorism? ”

Different technology (duh), different nations fighting, and the biggest is probably the fact that the crusades were fought by Christians because the holy land had been taken by the Islamic people. So, the crusades were based off of religion and the Christain’s trying to reclaim their land from the Islam’s.
