They were not taking in consideration the damage they can do to it, as well as to the environment, and its long term well-being. Also, the Europeans were not only using their land for producing food for themselves, but they also used for planting crops that were not even for eating, but they for sale. The Indians, on the other hand, viewed the property as part of the nature, and they saw the nature as their mother, as it was providing them with everything for their survival. The Indians only used the land for gaining enough food for their needs, nothing more, and they were trying to make it as sustainable as possible.
