The legislative branch, the executive branch, and the judicial branch are the three branches of the United States government.

The legislative branch makes the laws, and is divided into the House of Representatives and the Senate.

The executive branch enforces the laws that the legislative branch creates.  This branch includes the president and vice president.

The judicial branch interprets the laws that the legislative branch makes and determines whether or not the actions of the other branches are constitutional.
