Write a report describing contemporary israel's relationship with neighboring countries

Report:

For much of Israel's modern history it has had tense relationships with it's neighbors. It has fought two wars major wars with at least Syria, Egypt and Jordan. Numerous other skirmishes have taken place throughout the last 70 years, including with Lebanon and even Iraq.

Contemporary relationships with many of it's neighbors are better now. Jordan has recognized Israel and both countries now have formal relationships.

Similarly, peace accords have been signed between Egypt and Israel and there have been no conflicts between both countries since decades now.

However, relations with Lebanon remain tense due to the presence of Hezbollah in the region which has had direct conflicts with Israeli Military.

As Israel continues to occupy Golan Heights, it has not been able to develop cordial relationships with the Syrian government as well.

Despite all this, Israel's most complex relations are with the Palestinian territories which it has not recognized.
