the civil right movement for African Americans was the first example of a minority standing up for themselves and demanding equality and rights. They led the charge against prejudice and showed that justice can be done when people come together for a common cause. Other minority groups saw this and realized they could do the same thing and became inspired. After the Civil Rights Movement started others began demanding equal rights as well, so women, native Americans, and Hispanics all began to fight for equality after being inspired by the actions and accomplishments of the Civil Rights Movement.
