A. Julius Caesar was descendent of Roman Aristocrats that were bankrupt at that time. Despite the fact that he did not have money at the time, he aimed to become influent in Rome and did everything to achieve his objective.

When his father died he managed to become nominated as High Priest of Jupiter, which gave him a series of benefits, like marring a patrician - Cornelia - who had influence.

He joined the army later and became an effective soldier. He became influent because of his doings and became a lawyer when returned home.

He was elected military tribune and when his first wife died he married another influential woman - Pompeia -.

Later, he was a part of the Triumvirate as Consul and later became a Dictator.

B. Rome did not have a main single problem, they had many that caused its collapse. Rome did not have a clear plan for politics. They had many changes of emperors and because of the need for growth of the empire they spent money with military and this way needed high taxes. This caused poverty, diseases, and pressure in Roman society.
