In the eyes of the Nazis, the Germans were the descendants of the Aryans, and they were a pure ethnic group, that is also superior to any other ethnic group in the world. They actually put in a lot of research in order to find the original home of the first Aryan people, and got to some clues which were actually true, that the Aryans arose from the Eurasian steppes, north of the Black Sea.
