The French have a better relationship with the native Indian than any other of their European counterparts. The reasons were many which include that they respect the natives and need help from them to survive there. Their main concern was the seasonal fur trade. They did not compete with natives for their land thus get mutual respect.
During this time period the French were more concerned on fur trading than on the English who tried farming in New England area. Though of course the French had a more immediate profit with trading with the Native Americans who were fond of the new coming French colonists, but they did not like the British for good reasons. The English colonists were very discriminatory to the natives and tried to make them their slaves but they natives had very poor immune systems and were introduced to new diseases so they eventually died out. My apologies I went off topic.
The correct answer is A. The French were more inclined to settle widely on native lands than the English or Spanish were. Hopefully this helps!
