What are some contemporary argument against united state participation in international organizations such as the united nations or the world court?

The American intervention in Iraq has reignited the debate on the effectiveness of international law and international organizations. the attack had been carried out outside the rules and principles of international law and which would have seriously hit the United Nations and all that the entity represents for the international order in modernity. Technically, however, it was just another international event that exposed the characteristics and limitations of international organizations. A century that begins under the impact of the threat of large-scale terrorist attacks and the real possibility of the world's greatest power to choose unilateralism as the predominant pattern for its foreign policy.
