Write a short paragraph expressing your ideas about the chinese and silk prodution. why do you think they so carfully guarded the secret of how to produce silk

Since the Chinese where the only ones who could make and sell silk, they could get a high price for their special cloth. If they had simply given their secrets away, it would have been commonplace for everyone to make, and the Chinese would have lost their giant income from the silk buyers. It would also have put many people out of a job, like the silk merchants/traders!

because its important to learn about other countries and how high tech they are compared to us. also its good to learn about other cultures and how ours differs and in common also we need to learn about companies that we still buy since they ship it here.
