What impact did the construction of the transcontinental railroad have on the culture of the native americans on the great plains.

The impact of the transcontinental railroad in the cultures of the Native Americans was tremendous. Mostly because as the railroad kept on going further west it continued to take land which was the pasture consumed by the bison. By removing the bison from the prairies the railroad also removed the people whose way of life was based on the consumption of this animal, which was sacred to them.
