Someone ! i will give thomas jefferson once said, “the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. it is its natural manure.” of course, jefferson went on to become our third president, the inspiration for jeffersonian democracy, and a well-revered founding father, and america never underwent a french-style reign of terror…but what if it had? what if jefferson had led the kind of bloody revolt in the united states that he had seen in france as ambassador? lay out a speculative argument for an alternate history of the washington, adams, and jefferson administrations if thomas jefferson had inspired a french revolution-style kind of wave of violence after his return to the united states.

If  had led the kind of bloody revolt in the United States that he had seen in France as ambassador then there would be many lives lost. Jefferson also said “this ball of liberty, I believe most piously, is now so well in motion that it will roll round the globe, at least the enlightened part of it, for light & liberty go together. it is our glory that we first put it into motion.”So none of that will happen.
